1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a website. They remember, for example, that you are logged in or which language you chose. We use similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) only as far as named in this policy.
2. Which cookies we set
We set only technically necessary cookies. Without them login, language choice and navigation do not work. We do not use cookies for audience measurement, profiling or advertising.

The session and login cookies are set with the protections HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax (plus Secure on HTTPS), as far as the server settings allow.
3. Legal basis
These cookies are strictly necessary for the service you requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG), so no consent is required. Processing of the resulting data relies on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (operation and security of the site) and (b) (using your account).
4. Third parties
By default we do not load third-party content that sets cookies. Exceptions:
- Twitch: when streams are embedded, Twitch may set cookies and receives your IP address. We load the content only once you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the cookies in your browser and reloading the page.
- Discord: when you link Discord you leave our site; Discord's cookie rules apply.
Fonts are hosted locally on our server.
5. Managing and deleting cookies
You can view, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, login and language choice will not work. Logging out deletes your login cookie.
6. More information and changes
How we process personal data and what rights you have is described in the privacy policy. If the site changes (for example new services that set cookies) we update this policy and, where necessary, obtain your consent beforehand. Questions: moderation@20esports.org.
